PROJECT ASSIGNMENT: Create a monster using your wildest imagination.

Materials used were clay and colored slip. My little monster man is named, Victor.  

Door

PROJECT ASSIGNMENT: Design something visibly showing an applied force.

I designed a “weathered” door. The size of the door is half the size of an exterior door. The title of this piece is Frank Lloyd Wright Meets Snow White. The concept behind this piece is that it’s owner found the door at a flea market and took it home to his shop. He loved the rough worn texture of the door but replaced the stained glass and door handle 

with a more whimsical look.

Dream House

PROJECT ASSIGNMENT: Design something using 50 of one item.

I chose clothespins. They were easy to manipulate by taking them apart and cutting them down. To show different woods and textures, I stained some clothespins and used sand paper to show the texture of the chimney. In addition to contracting the piece, I had to photograph the piece in three different environments.

The above picture was my inspiration for this piece.
